smell the fuzz, guitars that rule the world (1996)
i owned this, because i always wanted to be on the cover of guitar world. i don't own it anymore but i found a link, thank god. check out the track list, copied from a KISS fansite, because KISS rules. 01 Disintonation (2.58) Hellecasters 02 Ascendo (4.06) Billy Corgan 03 Strip and Go Naked (3.57) Victor (Alex Lifeson) 04 Blues For 2-XL (3.54) J.Yenger (White Zombie) 05 Cherokee Boogie (4.00) Ace Frehley 06 Brewicide (5.49) Dark Load 07 Explosion (4.19) Unheard Of 08 Niacin (3.52) Billy Sheehan 09 One Song (2.57) John Christ (Danzig) 10 Sunset Collage 1 (4.26) Robert Fripp it's actually amazing, listen to the robert fripp song first though, or ya might get scared away. i think it's maybe the coolest thing of his i've heard since Let The Power Fall. a truly incredible hi-fi nightmare. then listen to track 7, the death metal summit. then check out track 6, the Kim Thayil thing. then get stoned, and go back to track 1 and listen to the whole thing. ok one or two of the tracks are awful, i'll let you decide which though, just two though. ok maybe three, but no more than three. -Hubble
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - 'Wolfroy Goes to Town' (2011)
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - 'Wolfroy Goes to Town' (2011)
Somebody should make Bonnie Billy poet laureate somewhere. 'Wolfroy Goes to Town' is a hateful, seething record. Every song is about depravity in one form or another. Yet, the Prince is always saying something new. The maturity glistens on this work like the cheeks of a dolled-up virgin holding a bouquet. -alibi

RED DIRT - 'RED DIRT' (1970)
and there's too... too much traffic... on the road. and there's too... too many cars... on the road. say hello to danger. driving down that busy road. say hello to danger. he won't let you grow old. say goodbye to your children. layin' on a busy road. say goodbye to your children. you will see them go. -canon rags
ABSU - 'ABZU' (2011)
ABSU - 'ABZU' (2011)
because what this blog needs is more metal. you know, i just got a new phone with nickle-sized speakers on the back that plays music really loudly and this type of shit sounds perfect blasting out of it at an outdoor oil-lamp lit restaurant sitting on picnic tables after midnight on a saturday night. the liner notes read: "NOTE: ABSU arrogantly executes mythological occult metal... still." righteous. -alibi
