The information Age can have the tendency to both elevate the marginalized and to marginalize the elevated. A subculture such as black metal has been lifted from the shadowy margins of its origins and is now more accessible than ever before. And yet now that this proliferation has occurred, few people can seem to agree upon who are the artist's at the vanguard of the art form. Ars Magna Umbrae are a band at the razor's edge of black metal. Just listen to that guitar tone, man. 

p.s. This record gets my vote for best album cover of the year.
