let's talk about electronic sub-genres for a sec. this here record is contemporary house music. i'm getting more into house. it's not as hard hitting as techno. it's more around the house friendly. writing in resident advisor, matt mcdermott notes: "Ambient tracks are to house and techno albums what skits are to rap albums: an overused method bridging one track to the next. For Corre and Letellier, traveling between the meatier material is half the fun. "Liège Trinité" begins with what sounds like Steve Reich jamming with Pink Floyd before it becomes frantic house." that desciption certainly piqued my curiosity. this album is fully rideable start to back. nummer isn't afraid to flex some different styles and different bpm (in other forms of music, we might call this "tempo" :P). definitely some fresh and pristine beat science for 2017.
